I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where did you score your pair?

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus

How much do they go for?

When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their regular price is over $500.

Do they fit as expected?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size

Are they comfortable?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..

How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you buy again?

Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.

They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.

Do they hold up well?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.

Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
